Eshtirak is a billing service used by electricity generator subscription providers ("providers") to manage their customers' meters, bills and payments. This policy explains what information the Eshtirak app and website handle and why.
Information we handle
- Customer details entered by your provider: name, phone number, subscription amperage and location order.
- Billing information: meter readings, consumption, bills, balances and payments, including payment confirmations you send from the app.
- Account information: your username and an encrypted (hashed) password. We never store passwords in readable form.
- Security information: sign-in times, IP address, browser and device type, used to protect accounts and detect misuse.
- Notification information: if you turn on notifications, a technical address for your device so we can deliver them.
How it is used
Only to provide the service: calculating and showing your bills, recording payments, sending you bills and reminders (in the app, by notification, SMS or WhatsApp), and keeping accounts secure. We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Your provider (the company you pay for your subscription) and the Eshtirak platform administrators for support. Messages are delivered through SMS and push-notification services, which receive only what is needed to deliver them. Each provider's data is kept separate from every other provider's.
Storage and security
Data is stored on secured servers with encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access is limited by role and every change is recorded in an audit log.
Keeping and deleting data
Billing records are kept for as long as your provider needs them for its accounts. You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time -- see Delete account.
Children
The service is meant for adult subscribers and is not directed at children.
